Dylan's Flat Stanley Enjoyed Las Vegas

Stan -   Hey Dude, thanks for coming to Las Vegas, Nevada, and spending March 8th with me. I travel a lot, and was in Las Vegas for a convention with the technology company “IBM,” and it was great having your company.
Here’s  a picture I took of you outside our hotel, The Luxor. Cool place to spend the night - - it looks like a Pyramid from Egypt! Las Vegas is famous for its unique hotels.

This was inside our Pyramid! The hotel had made stuff look real old, like from the days of the Pharaohs.

And even though you snored a lot in our room, I really enjoyed you spending the night with me.

In Las Vegas, they have very many tall glass buildings. And most all of them are for hotel rooms for the millions of people that fly to Vegas to have a good time on a vacation or convention.
To advertise and promote travel to Las Vegas, you see a lot of “shows” like the one for “Elvis” over my left shoulder in the picture above. Since the days of Elvis Pressley, many singers and comedians have gotten on the stages in Las Vegas to lure visitors to hotels.

But the biggest business in Las Vegas is “Gambling”; and here’s a picture of you outside a casino that had slot machines. Sorry, you were not 18 years old so they made us stay outside!

Here’s you outside some famous hotels and casinos in Las Vegas that look like places in other parts of the world, and in other time periods.

Caesar’s Palace, New York City and a castle from medieval times… you were so silly outside these buildings and I enjoyed taking pictures of you with my mobile phone.
So when you visited with me, it was like we took an entire trip around the world just by walking a couple of miles down The Strip.

I took these pictures of you outside the hotel called “Paris.”  Here you see you jumping in the middle of the road and also see the Eiffel Tower.

Here is the “arc de triomphe” replica. In English that means Arch of Triumph; and that was a famous arch that World War II soldiers would march under after the good guys won WWII.

Here are some more famous hotels that I took your picture outside. The castle one is called “Excalibur” and has lots of medieval knight stuff inside.

The one with the Statue of Liberty replica is called “New York New York.”

And the one here is very tall and is called “Caesar’s Palace.”

We walked inside the lobby of the Caesar’s Palace hotel and saw real fancy-looking statues and shiny marble floors. All those hotels are made to look so fancy!

Look at that motorcycle coming out of the Harley Davidson store that was on The Strip!

The Bellagio hotel was probably the fanciest of them all!

They had put a big lake in front of the hotel that had a neat water show every 20 minutes. People would stop in front of the hotel and look in amazement!

And here you were at the MGM Grand hotel with that golden lion – the one just like you see on famous movies!

The MGM is where you see TV shows like the American Country Movies awards.

And we finished up your trip at the MGM Grand watching the rock band Maroon 5, with Adam Levine!

That was fun, and by the time you left, I was so very tired.
Let’s do it again some time soon!

When you return to school, tell Dylan that his cousin Sammy Rabon says hello.
