Sam & Max wanted to bring
Stanley to their School in Derry, New Hampshire.
This was our first stop
in our New Hampshire Adventure.
Stanley in front of a replica of the
Old Man on the Mountain. The Old Man of the Mountain
was a series of granite
cliff ledges on Cannon Mountain that looked like the profile of a
man.
The Old Man was used on the quarter and on stamps. In 2003 the
face fell off!
Here is Stanley in front of the New
Hampshire State House in Concord, NH. This is
the nation's oldest state
house in which the legislature still occupies its original chambers. It
was
built entirely of granite from New Hampshire in 1819. New Hampshire
is also called the granite state.
Stanley
is standing on top of a replica of the Liberty Bell with Max & Sam.
Look
how they painted the crack!
Stanley saw this dog carrying his
owner's newspaper and had to have a pic with him!
Here is Stanley on the statue of
Daniel Webster. Daniel Webster was a senator during
the period leading up
to the Civil War. He was born in New Hampshire.
Look
SNOW! Stanley wanted to play king of the mountain.
OOPS!
Snow is slippery!
We took Stanley to see a covered
bridge. In the 19th century builders discovered
that if you put a roof on
a bridge to protect it from snow it lasts a lot longer.
This bridge was a replica of an old
covered bridge. Look at Stanley hanging out
of the window! Watch
out!
Stanley
enjoyed the view from the bridge.
We
took Stanley to see the mountains. Way off in the distance are the White
Mountains.
Here is Stanley in front of Gunstock
Ski Resort. We couldn't find skiis small enough so
we couldn't take
Stanley skiing.
Stanley got to meet a couple of skiers
at the resort!
Max
& Sam took Stanley to the top of a hill to see Lake Winnipesaukee.
It's the largest lake in NH and has 253 islands.
went
back over the border to Massachusetts to have fun on Salisbury Beach.
Stanley
wanted to be buried in the sand!
Oh
Noooo! Who spilled the popcorn?? Watch out Stanley!
Here is Stanley in front of
Haverhill, Massachusetts. This is where Stacy lives.
It's was once
known as the shoe capital of the world.
What a fabulous weekend Stanley had with his new friends. He has had many fun adventures!
